Redacted greatly influenced Dan Easley's aesthetics and musical direction, and served as production assistant, ethnomusicologist, and great friend through many of towndowner's early releases. Then, Dan accidentally insulted Redacted's girlfriend, and they stopped hanging out.

The Kindly Ones' 2006 single What Brutes was edited by Redacted, who also spoke and played keyboards.
